Royal Naval Old Comrades Club

The Club History

The first Club originated in 1947 at premises in North Street. It was situated on a first
floor and so quickly became over crowded, resulting in the move to Beach Road in
1951. The Royal Naval Old Comrades title stems from the original Naval Association,
now The Royal Naval Association and is one of only two Clubs retaining the Comrades
title.The other being in Portsmouth.
The Club is the meeting place of the Eastbourne Branch of The Royal Naval Association,
The Royal Marines Association and The Sussex Branch of The Merchant Navy Association.
It Guests the Dunkirk and Normandy Veterans Association and welcomes all veterans as members. Also welcome to join are adults who can sympathize with the aims of the Club to perpetuate comradeship, to foster good fellowship, encourage and promote social gatherings and render service to one another. The Club is non political.
The bar is open full licenced hours and has facilities for snooker, darts and dancing to live music.
Application for private functions are encouraged in accordance with Club conditions.

Enrolment fee is £10 and annual fee is £20.
